The weather in Passy couldn’t be more perfect this September. For the past two mornings, I’ve woken to brilliant blue skies stretching above the rooftops. This photo was taken from my dining room window—my little ritual spot for morning coffee, emails, and posting to the site. There’s something magical about starting the day with sunlight spilling across the city, even before the streets awaken.
My apartment is a true Parisian delight, full of traditional architectural details: ornate plaster mouldings, wainscoting, a marble fireplace, and herringbone hardwood floors. The layout is classic en filade—three rooms in a row, separated by double doors. For me, that means a gentle flow from living to dining to bedroom, as if the space itself is guiding the day.
Every window faces south, so the rooms are bathed in light from morning until evening. Below, a tiny green haven—the Jardin de Boulainvilliers—adds a touch of tranquility to city life, a reminder of Paris’s hidden corners.
I’m taking full advantage of these sun-drenched days with long walks through the city. Today, I plan to wander into neighborhoods I haven’t explored in years—or perhaps discover streets I didn’t even know existed.
In Paris, the path often leads to unexpected little wonders, and that’s part of the joy.
Paris, je t’aime.
